8 Years on the Warsaw Market

8 years of practice in Warsaw business realities

We started in February 2017. The first office of the Institute for Market Reforms was two small rooms in Wola and a team of just 3 people. Today we work in a 7-person team at Aleje Jerozolimskie. During this time, we have seen dozens of companies losing margin due to chaos in documentation and a lack of clear chain of command. Our work is not theoretical lectures on management. We simply enter the company and check where your money is leaking.

We created an original system called the Profit Roadmap. Forget about thick folders with reports that no one on the board has time to read. We deliver a concrete reform plan on 4 or 5 A4 pages. In 2023, we helped a local building materials wholesaler shorten the document circulation time from 3 days to less than 4 hours. We didn't buy new computers. We simply changed the cost approval rules and removed unnecessary signatures.

  • We analyzed operational processes in 47 Warsaw enterprises.
  • The average length of service of our specialists is 11 years in real business, not in consulting.
  • We implement structural changes usually in 6 to 9 weeks.
  • The rules are clear: we take full responsibility for every point of the ratified plan.

Bureaucracy is the biggest brake on growth in medium-sized companies. Often in family businesses, there is decision paralysis because everyone wants to have the last word. We introduce a hard rule: no more board vetoes without providing a concrete, quantifiable alternative. This one simple solution saved financial liquidity in 4 of our projects last quarter. Plan ratification happens efficiently with us because every employee knows what to do on Monday at 9:00 AM.

We operate mainly in Warsaw and neighboring counties. Why? Because we believe in personal contact and being on-site. We can be at a client's place in Piaseczno, Pruszków, or Legionowo in 35 minutes. We don't like empty talks over the internet when goods need counting in the warehouse or when talking with the production manager about bottlenecks. Real savings are found on the shop floor or in the office, not in front of a monitor screen.

Sometimes we had to tell a client straight to their face: this project will not succeed with the owner's current approach. We are not here to say yes or to write nice cards. We are here to make your structure start earning. Honestly, we don't accept every commission. If we don't see room for a real market reform during the initial analysis, we don't waste your time or our resources.
